pregnancy
Lucky for me, I do not have any stretch marks as of this moment, but I do realize that can change very quickly and also 90% of women will get stretch marks during pregnancy so odds are, I will get them. Here is a great perspective on stretch marks and the beauty of pregnancy. Just wanted to share.
The Beauty Love Left Behind
A mark for every breath you took, every blink, every sleepy yawn. One for every time you sucked your thumb, waved hello, closed your eyes and slept in the most perfect darkness. One for every time you had the hiccups. One for every dream you dreamed within me.
It isn’t very pretty anymore. Some may even think it ugly. That’s OK. It was your home. It’s where I first grew to love you, where I lay my hand as I dreamed about who you were and who you would be. It held you until my arms could, and for that, I will always find something beautiful in it.

With baby on the way, my craft room and my husband’s man cave is being revamped…. into a nursery!
We have this great little nook off our dining room so we decided to put our desks there and condense our spaces. My wonderful hubby put these cubes up above my desk to hold all my yarn! I think if I keep my yarn to this space it won’t take over… LOL
Check it out!! How’s my color coordinating? ;)

Please note the cubes are not crooked… our ceiling is! LOL Gotta love old houses :)

But today, I am just that.
I love Allison having her friends over, and they are all such good kids, and they are having such fun. But me… I just want to climb into bed and cry.
My headache is off the charts. Muscle pain not letting up.
Having the kids here is not the issue. I love that. It is trying to smile, laugh, and not cry in front of them that is hard.
I don’t want Allison to be known as the kid with the sick mom. :(
I worry about this every day and my baby is still in my belly.(via betterleftunsaid7)

creamy potato soup
gluten free
recipe
I know I haven’t posted a recipe in awhile - it’s been kinda crazy! But now that I’m eating gluten free, and am home with a cold - I have time to post some good stuff! Enjoy :)

CREAMY POTATO SOUP
Ingredients:
· 6 Yukon gold potatoes (peeled and cubed)
· 1 medium sweet onion (diced)
· 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
· 1 - 16oz. container of chicken broth (Natural Goodness Swanson)
· 1 tablespoon sea salt
· 1 teaspoon pepper
· Dash of parsley, oregano, and basil
· 1 cup sour cream (Daisy’s)
water as needed
Directions:
1) Place onion, garlic, and potatoes in large stock pot. Pour enough chicken broth to just cover potatoes. If you need additional liquid add water as needed.
2) Boil potatoes, onion, and garlic on high for 35 minutes or until potatoes start to break apart.
3) Reduce heat to low, blend with an immersion blender (either leaving soup slightly lumpy, or pureeing entire thing).
4) Add salt, pepper, parsley and oregano.
5) Add 1 cup of sour cream and stir well.
6) Allow to simmer 15 minutes.
7) Serve hot with grated cheddar cheese on top! YUM!!
*Using the above ingredients makes this recipe completely gluten free!!
**Don’t be afraid to add things to spice this up - bacon, veggies, anything you want!!
My pregnant belly says YUM!!
